Putting these out there just based on use application the boots are excellent quality I choose over several models of crispi after trying on. I just don't need a stiff uninsulated boot often enough in the north east. I find I need a bit of insulation for 90% of our fall and its tough to keep a good boot for a few ridge pounding days for turkey. Will use funds to by a pair of winter pac boots and go back to trail runners for turkey.

For size reference I am a 9-9.5 depending on brand and application and I have a wider higher volume forefoot and narrow heel although I do not measure as a true wide I appreciate the extra forefoot space with good smartwool socks hence the wide.

During break in I had no blisters or hot spots in the boot, minor heel lift was corrected by switching to the extra deep heel lock option. The leather is softer then competitors which makes for a more comfortable upper at the expense of some minor loss in top boot stability compared to stiffer boots.

The stiffness of the boot felt a right around the crispi 3/5 maybe a hair more solid for say a 3.3/5

The rand seems far more durable then the traditional rubber style and holds its own. The leather on the top of the toes areas has a few minor scratches (pictured) just surface abrasions.

These are old school danner quality not the box stuff level stuff

Price: $180 TYD
