Dalton HWY rental

What are you guys doing this year for rentals traveling up tye Dalton? I heard u haul pretty much put an end to renting for it. My brother and I have a hunt booked with arrowhead next August. I looked into alaska 4x4 and for 14 days it came to $4800 for a 1/2 ton with cap. I know turo is also an option but there can be uncertainty with booking someone's personal vehicle

Lots guys in uhauls still up there currently.
We used company that allows haul road yes it's expensivel.

Uhaul is cargo van or a two door truck, street tires but they do come with a spare and a 14 day hunt with their insurance is around 1200.00 (just got a price from them), they just dont service the Dalton so you might be responsible for getting towed backed if you have an issue. Book now if you want a truck for hunt, they book/sale out fast.

Used Turo last year and it was great. Got an f-350 the guy was cool with us taking it up the haul road to fly out with arrowhead. It was half the price as Alaska 4x4. We tagged out early and he even let me bring it back early and gave me a full refund for the days I didn’t use. It was the first and only time I’ve used Turo, I will do it again when we go back.
