I’m probably gonna check it out again this year. I went for the first time in 2020 and it was definitely worth the trip.

I'll be there for the first time. I've never been to any of these hunting shows before, so looking forward to the experience.

My favorite part is walking around looking at all the taxidermy from around the world.

Yea, talked my wife into it and excited to show her some of the taxidermy as well. Looking at hopefully finding a couple hunts over the next few years

I usually go but don’t usually buy any hunts. Planning on bringing my 9 year old son with me this year.

I’ll be there. I love seeing all the Texas hunters who wear Kuiu while they buy their high fence hunts. Makes me giggle.

Nothing blends into the interior a Mobil elevated hydraulic shooting house better then kuiu. I like the pants thigh zip vents for when the heat kicks on.

I think you are confusing the “Hunters Extravaganza” show in Fort Worth for the “Dallas Safari Club” for Texas hunters buying high fence deer hunts. I bet about 75% of the booths are African Safari outfitters and the other 25% are everything else.

Just got back home, very surprised on the lack of "show specials" this year at least for western outfitters. Think I was fortunate to find some that were reasonably priced but thought I remember a lot more deals being had last time I went. Overall great time though

Agreed. I was just talking about that with my daughters. Pricing was definitely higher than the last DSC in 2020. To be expected I guess with the way things have been going with western hunting.

Anecdotally, it certainly seemed like the US based hunts were getting a lot more attention than the international outfits. That usually isn’t the case with DSC. But, it sure seemed like there were a lot of folks from South Africa and Argentina sitting around their booths with few people stopping by.

Yep My wife and me were talking about how people are probably still nervous of covid shut downs for International travel, can't blame them. with that being said we did see some Austria hunting for fallow that defiantly was appealing since Austria is on both of our bucket list travel places

It was the first big show I have ever attended. I had a great time and was refreshing to see people acting somewhat back to normal. Our outfit had a great show and a lot of people seem ready to cross Alaska off its bucket list, it was good to see.
