Any real world experience with this grid organization? It looks pretty cool and I'm really thinking about trying. I picked up some new Pelican Vaults for travel for pretty cheap at Bass Pro and this caught my eye but they didnt have the right size available for the case I bought. Has anyone traveled through air with this Daka?

Works pretty good so far. I've done four round trip flights with it so far. Pretty easy to reconfigure , which is useful because i'm quite often flying a different rifle set up each time. It is stiffer than the regular cuttable foam that comes with a pelican case, but I have not had any issues.
The only downside I see is that you can't do the trick of filling or padding the rifle case with all your extra clothes when you come back with meat.

If thats the only downside side. Not so bad. Im deciding. But maybe they'll go on sale later in the year/holiday. I'll need one for the 800 and 770.

These look pretty cool. I need new pick-apart foam for my Apache 9800; maybe I’ll go with this instead!

Run it in one of my cases. Been happy with it so far. Works well, easy to re-configure, everything is secure when traveling.

Great if you have a case that you use for different rifles/setups.

I thought about trying these, but went with the MTM case instead. I’m not sure how it would hold up to flying, but it’s less than a pelican case and holds way more.

The Apache 9800 from Harbor Freight is a direct clone of the Pelican at a fraction of the cost. Theyre routinely on sale for <$120

Looks like it would be great for the house and truck, but probably not flying. I might pick one up, looks like a great "go box" for shooting in the mountains.

Already have the Pelican 1750 so I was just looking into modular storage for flying with different rifles.

I have the daka in my pelican case and love it. Very versatile and quick to change your configuration per trip.

I can’t quite tell from the pics. Does this have a place to put locks on it?

I got a Daka a little bit back.

Had to trim the bottom mat a little bit to clear bipods. Trimmed well and looks fine. Doesn't bother me.

I really like it.

Keeps the rifle secure, can easily carry more or less stuff , or a different rifle.

I just got a double rifle case by Pelican for our recent Montana trip. I am glad I got it because those individuals that load and unload put that case through it. Its all beat up. But rifles were fine durong the back and forth flights.

Hmm, found the DAKA on sale for close to $115 and the Re-Set for $200. I'm going to give the Re-Set a try. Won't have a DAKA to compare it to though.

This was the only discussion I found on the two besides a youtube video that was more of an overview.

Got the Re-Set system in and first impression is it kinda sucks. You have to use the "turret" platform (big cutout) for a rifle with a turreted scope on it or else the rifle won't sit flush. So, to get two in there I can cut the "turret" platform up to accommodate the second rifle's scope I guess. But I'm not sure I'm sold on this system. It's pretty flimsy. I'm either going to try the DAKA or just buy a 1" memory foam mattress topper and cut it up for a few specific loadouts.

Also, buycasesforless.com took forever to ship this thing. Bought the case through them, but was about to file a chargeback after 10 days without a shipping notification or response to 3 emails (one through their contact form, two through a specific email). No phone number on their site.
