I’m just bragging on my dad here, he’s applied for a resident Utah desert bighorn tag for 27 years and finally got his name pulled this year. He and his best friend killed B&C Dalls in the Yukon back in the late 90s and my dad was there when that same friend (not pictured) killed his UT Desert Ram in 02. He was starting to think he would never get his desert ram. He hunted for 12 straight days without hired guides or outfitters, just friends and family. He applied there off the recommendation of a buddy and got a great Ram on Halloween! We counted 7-9 rings per horn and decided he was 8-10 1/2 y/o but it can be hard to tell the difference between legit and false annual rings. What do you sheep nuts think on how old he is?? Either way I’m stoked for my dad!IMG_5121.jpegIMG_5129.jpegIMG_5130.jpegIMG_5136.jpeg

Far from an expert but I would say 8.5 as well.

Was he beat up from fighting or did he take a tumble when he died?

He was beat up from fighting on the right side and the chip on the left was tumbling after being shot.
