I’ve been using one extensively for the past month. Pretty much all day, every day for a month. We’re doing so inventory cleanup in the shop at work. So tons of cutting of boxes, zip ties, and packaging. Still holding a nice edge. I usually carry benchmades but figured I’d use this since I knew I’d be abusing it pretty hard. Still has a nice edge on it. Is it a Benchmade? Well no. Is it a solid knife for a whole $10, absolutely.

im surprised that some are surprised that chinese can produce great products ... most of the hunting clothes you are purchasing high end are made and the same can be said for steel and chinese knives: they learnt, hired great designers, copied as well and now they are mature to produce very good products. they will not be at the level of customs that is a given but they are on par with what is sold by some us companies and as of today some us companies are selling chinese made knives ...

I don’t think the knife is so high quality that people can’t believe it came from China. I think it’s that a knockoff of a bench made bugout can be sold at that price without it being a piece of junk. Also, when it comes to Chinese manufacturing and steel quality - that’s a legitimate concern. I’ve seen Chinese 316 stainless steel rust in its own packaging and also be magnetic. So just because it says D2 doesn’t mean it’s high quality. It’s not that they don’t have access to good materials. They obviously do. And other knives manufactured in china use good steel. But I expect oxark told them “as cheap as possible” when asked about the sourcing and quality of the d2 for this one since what matters is that they can call it d2 and it’s automatically much more appealing than 8cr13moV or similar steel.
I love mine, I used to carry a Kershaw leek which I loved and lost it for about 3 years ( it showed up buried in a rip in the couch under the cushion eventually). Got a CRKT symmetry and that was fine but got this one just for giggles since it was 10 bucks and just love the feel of it. The action is real smooth opening and I like the safety to open and close it.

I’m on my second one. Lost one and immediately bought another one and lost zero sleep. Great pocket knives.
This. I got some high dollar knives and this $10 one is the knife always on me. I have three more in a drawer waiting and given a few to people as birthday trinkets. The form and function of them is awesome and with a quick rinse they don't even rust when your cast net grabs them and takes them for a swim in saltwater, twice.
