Guessing there is 0% chance it's good D2. Most likely not D2 at all

Doesnt mean its a bad blade.
If it sharpens up quick and holds a fine edge, not D2

It’s Walmarts in house brand, ozark. Would be surprised to see Walmart outright lie and misrepresent a product but I don’t have a way to know one way or another. 0%…ehhhh…I don’t think I’d go that far.

It is chinese steel all made in china. Tons of youtube videos on the knife and for the money it's not bad for a user and abuser. Mine was sharp enough to shave with right out of the box. I'm gonna see how long the edge lasts before needing worked on.

Mine shaved hair out of the package. It got real sharp on the work sharp.

Its a decent value at $10 regardless of the steel if it will cut open a box. It's almost certainly not D2. But be glad it isn't, D2 sucks

4 or 5 months ago I bought 2 for my teenage sons to use and get used to carrying a pocket knife. So far so good. Used one to gut one of the bears we killed this year. For $10 I'm thoroughly impressed. It's a perfect use around the farm knife. If you beat it up or lose it, so be it. You're only out $10. Do that with an MKC and you hurt for a few days.

I get the China misgivings for sure. But we’re talking 10.00 for a knife. That’s cheaper than a gas station run for a couple snacks. Definitely worth checking out for that.

I saw it on a forum, and looked at a couple YouTube videos. Mixed reviews.

Manufacturing is getting better and better. There are still garbage ones when the QC fails. Basically, the manufacturing that gave us good Gerber knives is now available to “lower” brands.

I have tested cheap Amazon knives, etc. and they are very good for price. I know some who import from China for resale. Good manufacturing is almost everywhere in China in all categories as they get the tech and improving work force. They can pretty well match and meet most any specifications now. Even pianos.

If these knives are requested with the right specifications, they can be made inexpensively and of high quality. The two are converging closer all the time.

We at LS Wild make everything we sell here in the states and try to source everything from the US. But, I am aware of what it would take to have them imported…

I picked up a couple last fall after looking pretty hard to find one. Used it right out of the box for a little over 2 months before needing to do anything to the blade, general around the house stuff to breaking down small game. Wanted to use one on a deer to see how it held up, but didn't get the chance.

After putting a little work into the blade it was better than new pretty quick, real sharp now. We'll see how the next couple months go.

For the money, it's a pretty damn good knife.

I saw this and went and got one. Can’t beat it for $10. Basically a Benchmade bugout with steel liners. Weighs a bit more but size and function are very similar
