Does anybody know where to find one ? And are there any other factory .17 hornet rifles that compare ?

Savage makes a model 25. Reviews online look pretty good for it. 22plinkster has a good YouTube review of it.Does anybody know where to find one ? And are there any other factory .17 hornet rifles that compare ?
I would keep checking on Gunbroker as they show up there from time to time. I got lucky and found one soon after they quit making them. They are a sweet rifle for sure.Does anybody know where to find one ? And are there any other factory .17 hornet rifles that compare ?
Do you have any ammo for one yet or brass if you reload because finding 17 Hornet loaded ammo right now isn't easy and when you do find some it's double the price it used to be. I saw some a couple days ago and it was nearly fifty bucks for a box of 25.Does anybody know where to find one ? And are there any other factory .17 hornet rifles that compare ?
Are they worth it up to that 1500 range ? I set that as a cap for myself if one pops up on gunbroker, and I’m going to just spend the money on a couple boxes of hornady ammo and I’ll reload that brassDo you have any ammo for one yet or brass if you reload because finding 17 Hornet loaded ammo right now isn't easy and when you do find some it's double the price it used to be. I think the CZ 527 Varmint model 17 Hornet is the best one. They seem to, consistently, shoot the best right out of the box where the Ruger and Savage IMO are more hit or mis as to how well they shoot. I have two varmint model 527's in 17 Hornet and they both shoot really well and they're a lot of fun to shoot, especially suppressed. Many of the better rimfire cans are 17 Hornet rated and it just makes shooting them that much more fun.
I don't know anything about the seller so buyer beware but I just saw what appeared to be a nice clean used CZ 527 17 Hornet for sale over on accurate shooter dot com. Since CZ stopped making the 527 the used market for them, particularly the one chambered in 17HH, has gone crazy in price so expect to pay anywhere from a grand on up to I've seen them listed for as much as 2K which is just friggen nuts but usually, they're in the 1000 - 1500 range.
What is a decent price right now ?I will miss the 527, it was a great little action. I have 4 left (17 Rem Varmint, 17 Fireball Varmint, 17 Rem M1, and 223 M1) and wouldn't part with any of them now. If you find a decent priced 17 Hornet buy it. I have the Ruger hornet and it shoots great too but took some time to get there.
That’s exactly what I’m looking for … a gun I can take red and gray fox with from a bit more distance than the hmr… are they worth the price they are going for nowadays ? 1200-1500 it looks like is the averageI reckon CZ have made a mistake not offering the 527 any more., along with the safari classic etc. What they have replaced the lines with doesn't appeal to me at all.
Anyway I have a thumb hole 527 .17 Hornet and I like the gun, glad I have it. Nailed a couple of rabbits at 220 yards last week. I have a vortex lht 4.2-22 on it.
Also have a 527 in a 6.5 Grendel, did own a .24 as well but recently sold it as I did not take to the .204 ruger cal and I purchased a March genisis 6-60x56 so needed to reduce the hit on the bank account. Also owned a .22 Hornet in the past and shouldn't have sold it.
But if you find a .17 527 grab it, great little varmint round when you dont want the crack of 22.250's etc. but need more range than a .17 hmr or .22 wmr etc.
Well I am in Australia and bought new for $1650 AUD...or thereabouts, right before they announced they were discontinuing the 527 line, I mean if I were in your shoes I'd be prepared to pay a little premium to get a nice clean one, the action really is nice. That’s exactly what I’m looking for … a gun I can take red and gray fox with from a bit more distance than the hmr… are they worth the price they are going for nowadays ? 1200-1500 it looks like is the average

Huge mistake on CZ's part for mine...plenty of other plastic junk to buy, seems to be a race to the bottom with many company's.
Only you can determine if they are "worth it". I think they're a nice little gun and they seem to always shoot really well right out of the box, BUT, for me there is absolutely no way I'd pay 1500 for one, even if it was BNIB. Even at 1K I personally wouldn't pay that much for one but I also already have two of them so I'm probably not the best person to ask.Are they worth it up to that 1500 range ? Lol I have tried and tried to find a fox gun that I can take out to 2-300 yards and keep the fur intact … the the .17 hornet seems to be one of the best options out there, the ruger rifles sound like they are a coin toss and I won’t touch a savage again… so I’m willing to pay the premium if I can find oneOnly you can determine if they are "worth it". I looked for it but can’t find it, could you drop a link by any chance? There was one over on accurate shooter forum a couple days ago. I think he was asking 1100 or something like that.
