I’m starting to hunt for a CVA Scout pistol. The caliber I want, is almost impossible to find. There is no reference to Scout pistols on CVA website. Did they stop making them?

I have been looking and really only find them posted on Gun broker. They are a special-order item for a distributor. I saved the search and added notifications on gunbroker to keep up to date on availability as they seem to come to market in caliber runs and my FFL was able to order a 6.5 cm. I haven't seen the 6 arc or .223.

Son has one with a brace. It's ridiculously accurate, and fun to carry in the mountains.

It's the easy button for a "hobbit" rifle

From what I've found, the pistols haven't been made for a few years but are still out there in obtainable numbers. I've talked to a few dealers and they can't order them, but there are definitely shops that have them on the shelves and are selling them on GB. I've been looking for one in 6 ARC to build a hobbit rifle out of.

I really like the CVA single shot rifles and have thought about picking up one of the pistols for awhile but never got around to it. 14" barrels are fine but I like 10"-12" better in the field so I'd probably cut one down.

Bud's Guns has the CVA Scout pistol in 6mm ARC in stock if you can't find one locally.
