Looking for some more experienced advice with a CVA X series I picked up “new” from a respectable retailer. Wondering if I should even try to fire it or just try and return/exchange it? Breech plug and barrel alignment hugs hard left of everything and plug sits a tad hire then receiver/hammer. Forearm doesn’t align either. Tried cva quick help video too for that issue. 1EF19E67-60E2-4769-8DAD-B77D671140B7.jpeg10D895B1-E725-499B-A033-9567C5316316.jpegBelow is a few pics of the issues or nuance with the “free floating barrel” and the cnc of the Breach plug area I noticed after I got home and further inspected it. I understand it’s a production gun and no foul mouth to CVA. Didn’t know until I got home and saw that then saw other forums stating the issue. should have done better inspection at the store but my first muzzleloader and that alignment makes my confidence a bit low to fire it. Happy hunting

This is their current on going issue that they are not worried about.
Figured. Held some LRx at BPS since and they had similar issues. CVA says safe to fire with the left leaning tolerance and sending a new forearm stock, just start to hesitate on firing pins and accuracy when it involves loose powder and a bullet for sure though.

My MRX is same way, still shoots great out to 200 yards, all the further I have taken it. Shame it isn't centered perfectly but I haven't experienced any problems from it thus far.
