CVA Mag Hunter 50 cal. Help

I picked up a mag hunter today at my local pawn/ gun store. I believe it already has the 209 breech plug in it just by the looks. I am completely new to muzzleloaders. Any tips or advice on a load for this gun would be appreciated. Ive seen mixed reviews on this model. People love them or hate them but it was cheap. Thanks guys.

There is a lot to learn about muzel loaders. I would start by getting on YouTube and watching videos. You will pick up the basics as well as some idea about load data.

Personally I start out at 80 grains of powder weighed, CCI 209 primer and a 200 grain bullet. I shoot a lighter bullet than most because my shots are under 200 yards. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

I’d suggest going over to a dedicated muzzy site like ModernMuzzleloader and getting some good advice.
