I have a CVA Accura V2, shoot 84 grains by weight of Blackhorn 209 powder and Federal 209 A primer. I currently shoot the Powerbelt 295 grain AeroTips but don’t get a great blood trail with them. Looking to see what other bullets people like. Used for Whitetail Deer in VA. Thanks

I have the same V2 and shoot the Hornady sst 50 cal low drag sabot with 300gr 45 cal pill over 75 weighed grains of BH209. I’ve taken more than a few heads north of 165 yds with it and would feel comfortable to 200 yds as my personal limit. If shooting beyond that is a possibility I’ll take the smokeless for a ride. JMHO others mileage may vary.

My Accura mrx shoots powerbelt elr 330's and Thor 300's about the same.

Of the 2 elk and 2 deer we've shot with muzzy, only one of the elk actually ran and made it less than 100yds. It was the elr 330, and blood trail was not good at all. I think the first elk was a regular powerbelt aerotip out of cva, he dropped. I can't remember the bullets on the deer, but they both dropped.

Had the mine at the range yesterday. CVA Accura MRX running 84gr (weight) of Blackhorn 209 with the Variflame rifle primer conversion. I'm running the Fury Universal .50cal (.4995). Average was 1975fps on the Lab Radar. Flies perfectly and will drop Whitetail here in VA as well as Elk back in CO. BC is G1 .26 and I calculated my dope out to 260yds. PBR is a tad over 140yds. Spinjags work perfect to load and protect the tip. I ordered an ELR jag as well and will test if those work too.
