Where is a good starting point load wise? Shooting Thor 300 grain and 777 with musket cap. Any input appreciated.

Thanks. That's my usual approach.150 grains isn't a good starting point. I would start at 90 grains by volume and jump up slowly from there.
Yeah, anything over 90 grains as a starting point is asking for a headache. I did that once and it took me a long ass time to figure out the sweet spot for my setup was only about 70 grains. I climbed the ladder from 90 to 120+ a few times before my caveman brain realized I needed to go lower.
