SOLD
This is a bit of a catch and release. I am primarily a bowhunter and sitting on way too many rifles. Keeping the heirloom stuff and biting the bullet on some other high quality firearms.
I bought this rifle a year or so ago here on Rokslide. I had my gunsmith shorten the barrel to 21 inches and thread 1/2-28 ( all barrel diameter would allow so I used an adapter to 5/8 for my suppressor)
LOP was very long so I had him shorten to 13.25 inches using a 1/4 butt plate. That way if you need longer you can put on a pad.
I added Talley UL rings and a Weaver 2X7 scope. This is an interesting scope made during the short time Weaver was having some done in Japan. Very nice quality and hard to find weight at 9.7 ounces. Duplex reticle.
Rifle weights are shown in photos with and without scope.
Trigger is honed to a crisp 2.5 lbs
***Some history was lost on this rifle prior to me buying it so I cannot tell you manufacturer of the barrel or stock. What I can tell you is my smith scoped the barrel and looked at the chamber, stock, etc. He said based on quality of rifling and stock build it was very good stuff. Stock is nicely fit and has a little cast for LH so from someone with attention to detail. Metal is bead blasted. There are a couple little dings on stock the biggest shown in photo. Antelope photo is previous scope.
I shot nickel size groups with several factory loads. This is a great shooter anyone looking for a mountain rifle will be happy with without spending $3-$5K. Selling at $1350 TYDealer which won't recoup my investment.
