Custom pack

Has anyone ever had a custom pack built for their frame? I've got an idea for a pack that I would like, but don't know how to sew.

I had one made for my Barney's. The guy is a guide, so he's in bear season right now, but he sews in the off season.

I have a couple of custom McHale Packs that I've been pleased with. You have to use one of his basic designs, but there is a degree of customization available.

I'm wanting to get one built for my Kifaru frame, that way I have the perfect pack for me.

I've seen this guy make bags for K-frames.

Zimmerbuilt would probably build one as well.

don't expect this to be as cheap as buying a bag from kifaru, any custom project is going to cost you.

I have seen quite a few made by zimmerbuilt. He built to exactly what customer wanted. They were for Bikini and duplex frames. I am not sure they are QUIET as a cordura but they were light, tough, and very well made.

Thanks guys that's what I'm looking for.

What I've got in mind is about a 3000 ci pack with top & bottom access. 3 compression straps each side & across the back, & a couple of zip pockets on the back. Something between a spike camp & late season with a different pockets on the back, & not so tapered. I'm not as proficient at backpacking as I one was, & I like load shelves.

If I sell my multitude of packs, I should be fine for cost.

I had a longbow on my bikini frame. Was my absolutely favorite pack setup.

Longbow on my bikini is my favorite whitetail setup. That extra space at the bottom is the perfect spot for a medium pod. I can fit my knee pads and tree saddle in it.

The new roll top pods or a decent size pocket like the 500 light long pocket with the side zip in the Rhino den would fit there as well.

Take a look at the Mystery Ranch Overload pack. It's one of the military packs that is the same tri-zip design as the Longbow but bigger. I think it's 3,000 ci., but not sure how much longer it is.
