I can only speak for myself but I wouldn’t think that would be a difficult ask for most makers

I didn’t think it would be either. But the one knife maker I wanted to use said he can’t. So maybe there is more to it than I thought??

Some makers have a particular style they want to maintain or don’t like working with certain materials.
