Custom Kifaru / Alaska Guide Creations chest rig

Using a Kifaru Organizer Pocket and an Alaska Guide Creations bino harness, I was able to put together a decent chest rig. All I did was pass the metal buckles (lock n load system as Kifaru calls them) through some female ITW Nexus buckles to make the necessary connections.

Also, to those hating the Kifaru Koala harness (the original X harness), I was able to use the same bino harness on the Koala, making it more of a “Hill People Gear” type of rig.

On the Koala Lite rig, simply remove the original harness and add the 1” split bar female buckles to the areas I have circled on the pack. The Alaska Guide harness fits perfect!
I believe this type of mod can resurrect the Koala rigs. The original harness wasn’t that great at all. Now the rig can still be worn with a backpack and can be easily taken on and off.
