Didn't expect this thread to get resurected, but thanks guys! I stabilized the interior waterthin super glue, then sealed the outside with beeswax. I had not previously had any experience working with antler, but that was the most common suggestion I read. So far, they have held up nice.

Sheep or goat grips would look great, just not sure where you would find a source of material.

Missed this the first time around, those are the best side plates or handles I've seen. Exponentially sweet.

Very cool! When our new house is finished, alone with my shop, I'm going to try something like that. I would love to put some whitetail side plates on my new PSE Full Throttle - maybe it would make the brutal draw cycle a little easier? LOL! J/K
