Custom carbon fiber tent pole

Looking for some recommendations on a company that makes custom carbon fiber tent poles. I need a 48", 4 piece pole for a 1 person shelter. I can use google with the best of them but I'm looking for some real world experience from someone who has used them in the field. Thanks

Contact Josh at Ruta Locura. He can make them fixed length or adjustable. I have a couple and can recommend his company. Fibraplex also sells carbon fibre poles.

I had some made at zpacks, was happy with them.

I just received a 48" pole from Zpacks today. Right on spec at 2.2oz. Good stiffness, 4 sections. Folded length, 11 inches. I bought it for my new Kuiu Ultra Star 1P. Would be perfect, but I'm returning the tent. Too bad, the pole seems great.

Sorry, I am unaware of anyone that makes CF Poles with shock cord. You could ask or DIY. While convenient, shock cord is just excess weight to some.

I actually screwed up a ground blind pole earlier this spring. I can't remember where I saw it but a guy mentioned that he made tent poles out of carbon arrows. Sure enough I tried it and it worked fantastic! You couldn't get much lighter weight than arrows!
