Who makes the custom action similar to a sako? 3 lugs, short bolt throw ~*60?

You sound like me and the 338. Every time I decide which one to build someone recommends something different and I start over!A belt less 1:8 7mm mag of some flavor to toss 180-195 grainers
7 saum or max for now, possibly 7prc when it's rolled out. I also have quite a lot of 7lrm brass left over so that's always an option. Likewise I recently read a thread on here about 7-300 wsm. wouldn't turn my nose up about going down that road either.

Unfortunately they just had a run of 7saum and it sold out in seconds. Not sure when they will make the next run. Probably winter. The only reason I'd grab a max over a saum is there's adg brass in stock today.
I have 54 pieces of Remington 7 saum brass left over from my model 7. No telling how many firings though I didn't keep the log book on that one.
I suppose I have plenty of time to source some brass most of these actions are quite a ways out anyway.

Fair enough. I asked because if you were going to build a 300nmi, 338nmi, or a 338lm, I have heard from a couple smith's that the Terminus are not ideal for those.A belt less 1:8 7mm mag of some flavor to toss 180-195 grainers

I just did paperwork on a Shadow today, real nice action, can’t wait to get it built into a 22 inch 30 nos.Fair enough. I asked because if you were going to build a 300nmi, 338nmi, or a 338lm, I have heard from a couple smith's that the Terminus are not ideal for those.
Another action you can check out is the Pierce Engineering Shadow action that Ryan Pierce of Piercision Rifles has.

Pretty sure the antiX is a 90⁰ bolt throw. I recently had this same choice to make and went terminus Apollo Lite. No regrets whatsoever.Fairly certain I've narrowed it down to one of these 2
Terminus kratos lite.
Defiance AntiX
Is there any appreciable difference between nitride and dlc?

No plans on a big boomer, just a moderate boomer.Fair enough. I asked because if you were going to build a 300nmi, 338nmi, or a 338lm, I have heard from a couple smith's that the Terminus are not ideal for those.

That's a pretty slick action, price super competitive
I'm ignorant about this little bit-
"All Pierce actions feature the Pierce enhanced Firing-Pin Assembly (FPA). Faster lock time (2.3 milliseconds) and lighter strike (4.3 in/lbs) results in easier bolt lift and reduced disruption when the pin hits the primer."
Is a lighter strike a good thing?
