I finally completed my back country 7prc prefit build and I am more that happy with the performance so far during the break in figured I would share. Here are the specs
-Defiance TI-X action
-22” proof barrel with MOA Ti break
Shout out to Zach at MOA he has helped out a lot with this build.
-trigger tech diamond
-Peak 44 stock
-Nightforce NX8 8-32 with nightforce rings (breaking barrel in with NXS 8-32 in picture)
-Hawkins hunter Bottom metal and mag
Gun weighs 5lb 15oz without scope and 7lb 11oz with scope.
I am getting initial velocities at 2790-2815 during barrel break in with the factory hornady 175 eldx. Target is from the last 4 shots between cleaning during break in at 100yards. With this light of a gun I am more than satisfied with the performance. I have to say it is manageable to shoot with the peak stock.
I replicated the build by converting my Christensen 6.5 creedmoor as a trainer gun pictured below!
