Semi-Custom 300 H&H Mag

I need some advice on the best way to go with this build. First off, I have owned 300 H&H's for the past 25 years and I am not interested in building anything but an H&H. I sold my Model 700 a couple of years ago and recently bought a Browning X-Bolt Stainless Stalker. I really liked the Model 700 but wanted a stainless and synthetic gun, and wanted to cut some weight. I really like the X-Bolt, but there is just something about it that hasn't put my quest for the ultimate 300 H&H to rest. The gun that I really like is the Christensen Arms Ridgeline. Every time I pick one up, I just really like the feel of it. The only problem is that they don't make a 300 H&H. What is the best way to build a Christensen Arms Ridgeline around a stainless 300 H&H action?

Shouldn't be too hard. Find a 700 donor action, buy a carbon wrapped barrel, trigger etc, and have a Smith put it all together for you. You could probably even find a take off Ridgeline stock for it.

Yep. Christensen Arms said they could build it with a Model 700 action. Now I gotta find one of those and preferably a stainless one.

Remington said they could build a rifle for me, but I just want the action, so I need to call them back. A new 700 stainless action in a Christensen Arms rifle would be sweet.

Had a custom rifle I inherited rechambered to 300H&H it is my new favorite round. Mines a blued Sako in wood so no help. Just supporting you lol. Hope you get exactly what you are looking for.

Big fan of Borden actions. Best CS in the business. Can also build complete rifle with barrel and stock of your choice.

The Remington 700 is a good place to start. Often times though, when a custom gunsmith gets done with it, you’ve almost bought a custom action.

I can shoot 300 H and H out of my 300 Weatherby. Done deal.
