If anybody missed out...My personal favorite Crispis boot happens to be their cheapest...the Lapponia..$239+ free shipping at Black Ovis—never seen them cheaper than that. Sells out during hunting season but they’re back in stock for most sizes. These are the only boots that have ever kept my feet dry in the coastal pnw...I attribute the minimal amount of seams and fabrics...same as Crispi Nevada’s (only half the weight of the Nevada’s, feels almost like a waterproof tennis shoe with ankle support). Just reapply Crispi boot cream a time or two throughout season..

Dang it missed the sale...rare for me not checking CamoFire for the day they have something I need
Thanks for posting this. Gearing up for either late Sept/early Oct Wyoming. I've had my eye on the Lapponia's for over a year...would you recommend them for this time of year I'm headed West? Heard great reviews on the fit (not crazy stiff) but I guess I'm wondering if the non insulated version would be best or if I'd need to have insulated? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I guess it depends on your style of hunting. The only time I might want insulated is if I’m sitting for hours on end (or riding atv) in sub-freezing temps, which I almost never do. Paired with a good mid weight wool sock, my feet never get cold with little to no added insulation because I’m either intermittently hiking or in the truck. Weather will vary drastically in the Rocky Mountains that time of year..I’ve seen it range from 80-10 degrees highs and lows depending on the year. One thing I don’t like is hot feet when I’m hiking...leads to sweating which invites other problems. But everyone has different tolerances for temperature too, so it can vary between individuals.

Lapponias are 15% off right now at blackovis. Puts them right at $200.

I never wear insulated boots unless I’m standing still and its past October. Wore my Lapponias through December hunting without an issue. I do have hot feet in general though. Your mileage may vary..

Good catch! I had to add to cart to see deduction to $203..

Thanks @Peregrine1 and @IdahoHntr for your thoughts here...headed over to BO to pick up a pair. Just gotta figure out sizing

i find them to be very true average of range I typically buy in all footwear..whatever your most common size is should work. Some boots run narrow..Crispis do not, so the regular width is good except for those with unusually wide feet

Just an FYI that "elkshape" does not work on BO.

I was going to buy a pair of Lapponia boots to compare to the Colorado boots I bought from Camofire, but BO does not have my size and the code does not work. :(

I got a little lost in the round table video. Any of them have a roomy toe box with a narrow heel? Needing a non insulated mid height boot
That is the shape of my foot, crispi nevada is the only boot I can wear and get heel lock , i can't get with other mnt boots, lowa, scarpa, ect. Unless toes are smashed.

Youtube vid I watched said Colorado/Summit/Lapponia getting a refresh, and they are just dropping the orange colorway on the Thor. Didnt sound like the Thor was changing otherwise. Im a sucker for the orange, so I grabbed a pair for when mine tank.

I ordered a pair of Lapponia's. The lack of a toe rand has me concerned but I needed a spring turkey and early elk season boot and the price was too tempting especially with the discount code someone provided.

The Lapponias will work very well for your application Finn. I’m on my 3rd season with mine and haven’t had any issues. I hunt in them September - December In the PNW. Haven’t been wet or cold. I ordered another pair through BO knowing that they were being discontinued for a revamp.
