Can anyone please comment on the durability of these boots? Any issues with them lasting? Have you had them in adverse conditions beyond dry and 50 degree type weather? That type of stuff.

I recently bought a pair and absolutely loved them. Unfortunately the suede ripped on the boot very early on my hunt with them. It may have just been a lemon and I want to give these boots another try but am a little scared. What if they break down on me again early on a backcountry hunt somewhere?

Thanks.

I have about 50 miles on the pair I bought this spring. That included one 2-day trip in the mid 20s and light snow with a gaiter. They worked but I would want some insulation for a longer trip. As far as durability, Mine are fine so far. Seem to be well built and. O issues so far. I wouldnt say bombproof. Maybe a beefy mid weight hiker with a stiff sole. I don’t think they would hold up as well as some heavier boots but it sounds like yours was just a lemon or a result of a tear in the materials.

I'd agree yours were a lemon or something. I have a pair that I used during elk season in Colorado a lot and they held up fine. Also helped guide on a goat hunt and was in plenty of rock and shale and never had an issue.

I think you got a lemon bud. I have had mine for almost a year and have used them last winter in the low teens on hikes here in NH and my feet stayed dry and warm. I also used them still hunting on thanksgiving morning with toe warmers at 6 degrees and was still ok but sitting in a tree stand less than 45 degrees my feet will get cold and I know the boots aren’t made for sitting in tree stands. Wear and tear on the boots for the last 200 mile or so the have held up great compared to my Solomon’s that I get less than a year out of before they start falling apart.

I think of the Thor as Crispi's version of the Salomon 4D GTX. It's a lightweight hiker, and just about as durable and long lasting.

I still have my Thors, after a season of not super hard use, sole visibly worn, some material tearing / stretching around some of the lace loops, not nearly stiff enough for my taste. Never figured out if they leaked, or the material just wicked water up to the cuff until it hit my sock.

Comfortable boot, required no break in, but not as durable, long lasting, stiff as I like.

They are a decent boot for the price. I probably have about 200-250 miles on a pair. But they are pretty much done as the sole is pretty wore down/chewed up. I just don't think I trust them to take them on another big outing.
I've had them in spring deep snow. And another trip that was a solid week of wet nasty weather that had daily rain. Never had them leak.
I'm not a fan of the lacing system though.
For the price, performance was solid. Very light boot. I'd give them a solid B+.
But if durability is your biggest concern. I'd probably look elsewhere. But if you are ok with replacing them every couple seasons, they are a good boot.

Has anyone used their warranty claim ? I'd like to get some but need some assurance they will last if I'm spending that kind of money. I had a pair of asolos that didnt last a month in Afghanistan. I was pissed I spent that type of money on them at the time. Not like I had the chance to even make a warranty claim at the time though.
