Crispi Nevada GTX sizing

I bought some Crispi Nevada GTX uninsulated boots in size 12.5 which typically fits me.

They were too long in the toe and had extra space in the heel, so I exchanged them for a pair in size 12 and I thought they felt better.

I wore them out hiking the other day and the width is great, but they still seem too long. Do others find Crispis or least Crispi Nevadas to be longer than other boots in the same size? I'm thinking I probably need an 11.5 or maybe even an 11 in the wide size.

I’ve found Crispi sizing to be all over the place across their different models. As far as the Nevada, when I tried that model on I felt it ran true to length in my normal boot length size of 11. ( i typically wear an 11.5 in most running or training shoes). Everyone’s foot is unique, so it’s entirely possible the 11.5 wide would be a good fit for you.

Do the length test in your 12’s by unlacing them, then slide your foot forward until a toe touches the front of the boot, and see how many finger widths you can get between your heel and the heel cup. 1 finger is good, 1.5 likely fine, 2 fingers boot is likely too long
