Curious if anyone runs these? I know boots are personal, more curious about what those that fit them think. Wondering if these would be adequate for Utah, mainly southern. Don’t see the need for a 4lb huge boot here

I used them last summer and early fall. Same size as my Briksdals. They are a very light boot yet comfortable and seem to be holding up well. If I was in any steep country or hauling heavy packs (50+ pounds) I’d opt for my Briksdals.

Briksdal are on my radar but they are like 4lbs right? Any downside to that?

I think the Lapponia lites would work well for your application. I've used the original Lapponias in some steep, rocky country and on several heavy, long packouts. They've been great.

The downside to a 4 pound pair of boots is lifting and moving forward about 2.5 pounds of extra weight thousands of times a day. I'm not sure if it exactly equates to the old "1 pound on the foot = 5 pounds on the back" formula, but the fatigue from heavy boots goes up with daily mileage.

I ran the Laponia II during September elk and mid-October deer. I was very happy with them. Lightweight, short break in period, decent flexible sole, good early season boot.

I ran mine in Idaho mid-September. Most comfortable boot i have ever warn. Short break in period.

My lapponias are great . Light , fit like a glove and seem moderately durable. I only use them for bird hunting. Probably not the best choice for a sheep hunt.

I've been running lapps for a few years now, hard to beat. Just got the lights for Christmas, not many miles logged yet, but comfy as hell
