CRISPI Idaho - Squeaking?

I got to head out for my first hike and noticed a very annoying squeak coming from both boots about a mile I to the trip.

Anybody else ever deal with This? Not sure where it was coming from.

Yes!!!! Mine is doing this too... I have tracked it down to the laces sliding through the lower eyes. I think it would be fixed either as the laces break in or just by replacing the laces.

At first I thought maybe it was the little Crispi metal tag. Irritating either way..

Mine is already starting to go away. You could try putting some bow string wax on your laces and see if that helps.

Like the others said it seems to be more when the laces are new and get dirty. That being said mine stopped the slight squeaking after maybe 25 miles and haven't made a peep again. (370 miles now)

How is the water proofing on the Idahos? Wet grass might be one thing but can they handle small stream crossings with gaiters on?

First trip out walked 2 miles in ankle deep runoff from snow melt, no leaks then and haven't had a single leak yet. Cordura will suck up some moisture but so will leather..and Cordura dries faster.
