The guy told me it'll add all over. I got the insulated 200gr ones. More like 400, 600 imho

Is the guide version the same as the Nevada, just taller? I have the Nevada and mince them, but I want taller ankle support.

amerimono, No, actually the Guide is like the Hunter GTX, but 2 inches shorter. I have the Hunter GTX, and love them. After years of Danner Pronghorns, Danner Elkridge, and Kenetrek Mountain Extreme, the Crispi is the one for me. Had them two years now, and they are still the most comfortable boot I have ever had on my feet. They show no sign of wear on the sole or heel, and remain watertight. I ordered a pair of the Nevada for duty use, but had to send them back- They didn't fit as well as the Hunter GTX, so I stayed with the Salomon 4d GTX for duty.

Yes. The description on the website says "with all the same features and technologies as its little brother, the Nevada, this boot takes it up a notch with an extra 2” of ankle support".

How was the sizing on crispi boots? I wear a pair of wool socks.

Do you only use the Hunter GTX when you go out west for elk hunting or do you use them in Louisiana also? I mainly whitetail hunt public land in south Louisiana but am planning for a late season elk hunt in Idaho next year. Ive been looking at the Crispi Hunter GTX and the Guide GTX for the elk hunt but would also like to buy a boot that I can use down here as well. Thanks.

I only use them when hunting out West. I have since found the Crispi Wild Rock also. Similar construction and build to the Hunter and Guide. Extremely waterproof, and have 400 gram insulation. I got them from Black Ovis, and they have become my favorite boot now, for colder weather.

Does the wide version of the crispi guide gtx give you more room in the toe box?
I have this exact boot (past 3 or 4 years) and I am pleased with the room in the toe box. It's obviously not the same as my foot shaped Altras I wear in warm weather, but when temps dictate having to step up to an insulated boot I like my Crispi Guide GTX better than anything else I've tried.
Hope this helps.

I have the 12 wide uninsulated. Great boot. I use it from IL whitetails to NM elk. I think this Nissan season 3. Still looks good.
