Huh?! 50 years old is new?Crispi is a new player in the footware game. Go with tried and true long term players like Lowa, Zamberlan, Meindl, and Scarpa. I doubt you will have the same issues with them coming apart like Crispi.

They lacked a US distributor for a long timeI stand corrected. It’s funny how all the big box stores like Scheels and several hunting supply companies are pushing Crispi all of a sudden. I have never heard of them up until a few years ago.

Is anyone here who has had good luck with crispi boots weighing more than 180 lbs? Just body weight, not the additional pack and gear weight. This seems to be one of the deciding factors with boot durability. They scale up for size but not increased weight.

Yep. Opening week of MT rifle.
My oldest son wore Wild Rock GTXs opening week of MT. The leather was tore up, the leather didn’t repel rain/snow, the rand was beginning to delaminate and they looked 10 years. Customer service was absolute shit. They recommended we buy their boot grease, pay to ship the boots in for repair, and pay for the repairs. They were worn 8 days!! Get Scarpas.
Yeah, desert turd for sure!I agree with you on the Scarpas.
But damn guy those boots are dry as week old turd in the desert.
Did you wax them before the hunt?
They look like they’ve been dragged over a lot of deadfall.
My hunting associate does that and his Kenetreks look the same. He also only waxes them once a year.
Yeah, desert turd for sure!
Got them brand new and treated them with Graingers before opening week. Yes, plenty of rock and downfall, but the leather is just shit, belly hide leather. They would get wet, we would dry them slowly with a Peet propane boot dryer and that’s what they looked like after a week of hunting and packing 3 bulls. Disappointing because we’d heard good things about the boots. We won’t deviate from Grand Dru and Phantoms again.
Yes, I have had good luck with Crispi boots. I'm 215. I run the Altitudes and the guides. Recently I got a new pair of Altitudes. Like the OP posted about. I had the heel stitching come apart. I emailed Crispi and they were very helpful. Definitely have no complaints. Is anyone here who has had good luck with crispi boots weighing more than 180 lbs? Those look good for being 6 years old. How often do you clean and treat your boots? Here are my 6 year old Crispis, which get worn every other day and have 1,000’s miles on them. Yes the tread is gone in some spots but they are still water tight. My other Crispis are 3 and 4 years old and are holding up great.![]()

I'm usually about once a year. I should start being better about boot maintenance.Typically, 3 times a year. Once, before archery season, again sometime during rifle or MZ season, and before spring.
