Crispi Altitude GTX

I haven't run across one single boot since Danners in the 90's that is completely waterproof. This includes current Kenetrek, Crispi, Lowa, Salewa, La Sportiva, and Danners.

How about more of a comparison question, how is the waterproofness compared to the Salomon GTX.

They can handle light rain and snow and hiking through dew (to a point). In my opinion they don't handle water as well as a full leather boot but they dry out super fast.

I’m sending my almost new pair back to Crispi due to them leaking like there isn’t GoreTex in them at all. Super comfortable, but not even close to waterproof. Might just be a lemon of a pair, but I’ll be upgrading to something else.

Are they letting you return/exchange for a different pair of boots?

The verdict is still out, but I think/hope so. While their customer service was friendly enough, it hasn't been the fastest. After a week of not hearing anything on the original warranty claim, I was able to get them on the phone and they told me to ship the boots back so they could evaluate them. They've had the boots for 10 days and I haven't heard anything back yet. If given the opportunity, I will likely upgrade to a different boot.

I have the Thor’s and they’re awesome never Wetted out. I’ve had them for 3 years just replaced them with the Colorados but am keeping them since they’ve been so good

I ended up with a pair.
After 50+ miles and plenty of water I can say my feet haven’t got wet yet. I did change the insole to a superfeet and that didn’t help the bottom of foot fatigue I experienced after about 6 miles. They are super comfortable, but not a boot I want to be on my feet In all day.
