I’m just getting back into coyotes here in AK. Hunted some down south but I’m sure lots different up here. Nice dogs.

I love calling them in too! Coyotes, turkey, and elk - nothing better than having an animal respond to your calls!

Great pictures!

Up to 38 coyotes and 2 badgers on the year, I hope to get a few more before 2019.

@stickman yes it has been a good year so far seem to be a lot running around this year

An SD friend was here recently and we gave predators a good try for 4-5 days. He found it much more difficult in AK as the area is vast with few roads and predators aren't concentrated near sloughs or CRP fields or cattle pastures.

We did manage to scratch out a few coyotes and one beautifully furred wolf.

I’ve been wanting to get into coyote hunting by calling here in Colorado but it seems like the most promising areas are all in private land. Gonna try and give it another shot this winter. In Alaska I did well calling near agricultural lands and the vast river bottoms. Amplified fox pro made it a lot easier than mouth calls, til you get em in close.

@ texascub Where about you at in Colorado Colorado is where I’m am at also. public land is tough but it’s do able just gotta get where others won’t or places they over look

I’ve tried about it about 10-15 times in my home state of Iowa . I’ve only called one in in the dark on a full moon . Really would like to try it with a thermal ... the price tag on one is scarey though .
