Drew a cow elk tag for unit 40. Been doing some research. Just wondering if anyone has hunted the cedar creek area and just west of there. Also is it hard to find a camping spot off the beaten path. Th reason for the cow elk tag is to scout, and see if my buddy want to burn our points in that unit for bull tag for next year have 5 points to use for next years drawing. Thanks for any info.

Just be careful of the snow fall. Cause it comes in feet not inches. We hunted that unit for cows last year. Nice when we got there couple inches of snow next morning two and half feet. The horse guys even had trouble.
