Couple pieces I need recommendations on

I used to use zip locks bags quite a bit, but I have a hard time opening them with gloves on.

I used to put all my stuff in stuff sack for a pillow as well. I realized that sleep is pretty important to me so getting a pillow was the final piece I needed. I could've kept using the clothes stuffed in a sack plan but it wasn't working out very well. Getting a pillow was a great investment.

I mess around with air pillows some but usually go back to my large thermarest camp pillow. Compresses okay but i admit is is a guilty heavy pleasure at around 12 oz. Worth it!

I have an old neck injury, so I need a pillow. That's the reason I have a Rubbermade tub filled with camping pillows, it's been a lot of 'research'. I found the best solution; an Exped UL L Air Pillow (2 oz.) inside a Goosefeet Gear Down Pillow ( 2.2oz.). Compresses so small I just stuff it in the compression sack with my sleeping bag.

Did you get the Exped UL Lg size with the sewn on pocket? I'm a side sleeper, and I have the Exped, but hate how it feels. I've tried covering it with several things, but the down pillow seems worth a try.

I have tried several different pillows and nothing has been better than the Sea to Summit Aeros. It is very lite for being fleece lined. The Exped one is good too, but slick so plan on adding some sort of case and/or strap to keep it from sliding all over the place.

I have one from Nemo (fillio I think) and it is the best. It is a combo air/self inflate and it is super comfortable. It's also pretty packable, the pillow, my pad, ground cloth, and lights all fit in a Large Kifaru pullout.

on amazon there is a mixed set of mesh travel bags that are pull cord rather than zipper, i used them this year. i did just get a full set of pullouts and plan to get more though.

For my pillow I roll my glassing pad around my insulation layer. Nothing fancy, but sure has worked for me.

As for the pullouts, I use a random assortment of mesh bags and kifaru compression sacks...it works so I ain't gonna fix it!

I use cheap zip up pillow cover. Stuff with puffy. Good to go. Weighs nothing. Better and cheaper than any formal pillows.

I have the Eagle Creek and Kifaru pull outs, actually prefer the shape and colors of the Eagle Creek over Kifaru. As others have said, lots of options on Amazon. For a pillow, I bought a full sized down pillow from a store, opened up one end of it and removed the down, then used the empty pillow sack to make two custom sized pillows with a select amount of down in them and custom cotton pillow cases for the girlfriend and I. They will both compress down and fit into a stuff sack the size of a 1 liter Nalgene bottle.

I called kifaru when I was ordering just pullouts and got them to ship them USPS for much cheaper if that helps. Cause I think its like as much as one of the pullouts to ship a couple of them.
