Was out shooting 3D for the first time and noticed the targets that where back in the woods and where in low light conditions I couldn’t see once I drew back and looked down through my peep and sight. I would shift my eye off the peep and could see the target clearly then once I would shift back to align peep sight and target I was unable to see the target. Any idea for problem solving this issue.

There have been many 3d targets that I had to really study with the binos to accurately come up with an aiming point, by determining the cross-section between the vertical and horizontal lines running through that "blacked out" area using spatial orientation from what's around the target. It's a common theme for folks to set up a small black bear or panther target deep in the shadows on a 40+ yard shot, and maybe even quartering away and impossible to see the rings even with binos.

Bigger peep works but in the end you should be focusing on the target and not the peep. Oh yeah, learning to shoot with both eyes open will likely take care of this as well.

1/4" peep is pretty good for hunting. Some peeps have issues with glare also, I ended up picking up the Hamskea raptor and it's been pretty good for me. The raptor is more of a target style peep, but it's more of a tunnel instead of a donut and blocks glare a bit better. It is super picky about peep rotation however, so be prepared to adjust your d loop or twist in your string.
