Could we get Boyd’s to make a Rokstok?

Laminate stocks are already on the heavy side. I’d skip the adjustable lop and comb and just keep it simple, clean and as light as possible. You can easily cut wood stocks to desired lop.

Heavy may or may not be desirable. I have a use case for a a heavy version

It won’t be “heavy”. My goal is no heavier than the OG Rokstok, and hopefully lighter.

I'd love to contribute to this project if a folding option is being considered. As a personal project I have done some work on a rokstok inspired folding stock. I am rookie when it comes to firearm/stock design but I work in product development and have done a fair amount with self-contained hinges and locks. My design below is 3D printed a proof of concept.

You should link up w Unknown Munitions. If that is viable/solid it would be very desirable

That looks like a sick setup! However, in a laminate version, if trying to keep weight at a minimum, the skeletonizing required to lighten the stock would prohibit the necessary structure for a folding mechanism, if I have looked at things correctly.

I'd love to, but I assume they have plenty of design/development resources to make a folding RokStok if it is something they are interested in doing.

Thanks! A folder would definitely add some weight. As a proof of concept, the design isn't there yet, but I imagine it would end up similar to the manners folder where the folding mechanism is all aluminum and then attached to laminate/carbon fiber stock.

So, to keep weight down, we’ll probably end up somewhat skeletonizing the butt stock. If that happens, there won’t be enough structure in the laminate to accommodate a folder.

I've only had one Boyd's and it is for a left handed Mauser. The inlet was dimensionally good but it was twisted or tilted if you will about 5 degrees counter clock. It took a lot of work to make it look right and get the stock square with the receiver. If I wasn't so impatient with wait times and shipping I'd have sent it back, instead I fixed it.

Send me a PM about the folder.
