I just wanted to share some pictures of a couple cougars that Mike Ballard, Rugged Edge Taxidermy, Big Forks, MT did for myself and a friend. Cougars are out of Alberta.

Very well done. I've seen a bit of Mike's work and it is always top notch.

Off topic, I don't see a Frederic Remington sculpture very often, I think that one is Bronc Buster.

I think Mike is around $5k now for a life size cougar. He did a bobcat for me too...absolutely looks "alive".

Bobcats are extremely tricky to make look right. That one looks great!

I mounted a cougar once(well several times). It was in college and I think she was going through a divorce. I don't think my wife would appreciate a memory of that in the house though.

This is really good. I just ruined a pelt with a 243 and would've loved something like this. Next time..

Those look excellent. Cat mounts usually look fake to me. JMHO. Seen lots out here and they mostly look like something from a 1880's bar LOL. Those are great and very life like , definately a pro taxidermist.
