Buy the long shelf life and frozen foods you regularly use but just buy extras. You can buy 6-7 pounds of pasta for the cost of ons mountain house meal.

Yep, our nation could use some tough times to weed out the chaff.

Salt, lots and lots of salt.
Spices, plenty of spices.
Dried beans by the 50lb sack.
Rice by the 50lb sack.
Flour by the 50lb bag.
Pink salt # 2
A little bit of sugar and baking powder

This will all go a lot further than overpriced MH meals. As far as meat goes, well we should be able to figure that one out on our own.

The scariest part for me about all of this is knowing that we live in times where if the store runs out of bottled water someone will die of thirst. Let the purge begin!
