I noticed how the Kuiu and Kryptec differ from each other... How does the Core 4 stack up against these 2 for weight, noise, and durability and fitting.

I have both the KUIU Chugach pants and the C4 element Torrent pants. I cannot speak of durability or waterproofness, b/c both are brand new and not been outside. What I can say is that the C4 pants are much quieter then the KUIU. They have a soft outer material, that is nice. As for fit the KUIU are MUCH better for me. The C4 pants are too long (all the way to my toes), and have a baggy, parachute pants feel to them. I am sure the C4 pants are good pants, but I will sale them b/c they are just too big.
I have not put either of them on my scale, but just holding them I would guess that the C4 are a bit heavier then the KUIU

I need a pair of rain pants too. I purchased the C4 Torrent but returned them because they were too long. I emailed them and they are suppose to be coming out with an updated version with a shorter inseam but not sure they will be for sale by the time I need them. I have the Chugach jacket and like it and don't think it is too noisy so may get the pants BUT I wanted to see if anybody had good things about the Kryptek Poseidon pants.

I just ordered the kryptek rain jacket, plan to have it on a lot. Keep hearing from guys that own it that it's quiet enough to stalk in. Will review it once it comes.

I bought the C4E stuff right when it came out. Sadly I was disappointed because the jacked leaked where they had sewn in the C4E logos on the front and back. It was just embroidered an there was no sealing on the inside. Since we were in a drought last fall, I could only test in the shower and sure enough, those two spots soaked through. I also concur that the pants were quite long and I didn't want to attempt to have them hemmed or anything which would affect the waterproofing. So, I returned the set and figured I would let them work out the bugs since, again, it was brand new.

Now, I do have to say that I was relatively pleased with everything else about them but I don't have experience with much of the "higher end" gear like KUIU or Sitka. I saw the Kryptek stuff in my local Cabelas and I think I liked the makeup of the C4E stuff better. Again though, I really don't have any true field experience with any of them. I can't blame anyone for trying the C4E stuff since it is a much easier hit to the wallet when you catch it on camofire but just make sure to do some testing at home before you take it into the field.

I wore my Core4 in the car wash for about five minutes and never had a problem with them leaking. The only thing I didn't like was that the outer material seemed to stay wet for a while, but I think that was due to the material they use to keep it quiet. I have never used any of the other high end rain gear to see if it has the same problem.

If anyone is interested I have a brand new, with tags, size Medium C4 Element Torrent Pants for sale. $110 TYD.
Thanks
