Is the core 4 Element stuff any good. I see it on camofire quite a bit
Is it worth the money for thr mountains

I agree, I have a fair amount of their merino stuff and used some of it quitr a bit bow hunting this year and it held up very good. I even wore it as an outer layer and had to poke holes in it to wear my freakin back tag. After washing I could never find precious holes and always had to poke new ones. Good stuff especially whem you find food prices on www.camofire.com its always on there.

Ive worn their tops for 5 yrs maybe. I've got the black top with the small zipper and then some camo tops. Both are merino wool. The black seems to be abut softer but both are great. They have held up great with no itching or shrinking. I've seen no need to buy any other merino wool. I had their heavier element pants as well. They were great. Only sold them because I just love the Sitka timberline pants. I'm a mix of camo!

I have a Torrent rain jacket and really like it,in fact I've worn it more this winter clearing snow than any other jacket I own. It's also really quiet for a rain jacket.

I have their Element pants and jacket, Element gloves.
All in Max-1.
The element pants are very nice, soft-shell with good breathability.
Knee pads are a nice feature, never had them before.
The Jacket is nice.
Good quality, good features but not overdone.
Wore it for late archery elk, 9 degrees.
Had to take of a layer while climbing.
I worked up a sweat but it vented right off, perfect.
Great gear.
I will buy more.

I use their Merino and like it. Have had no issues at all. It is the first Merino that I have bought so have nothing to compare it too.

It is very durable. When I first bought it I bought several of the shirts as I was worried about durability of merino in general. I think I bought them 5 years ago. I opened two of them and have been using them since. The rest are still in the plastic in a tote as the first two are still going strong. I wash them with all the rest of my gear but don't put them in the dryer. All of my hunting stuff line dries. Not sure if that has an effect on how long they last. Either way no complaints here.

I'll add that I hunt early to mid September for elk and spend about 90% of the time using the baselayer top as my only shirt.

Used the boxer briefs due to the cost. Loved the first set a'lot. They did shrink a bit but wore good and ugly after using them but solid. I will not say the same of the newer ones. They did not shrink much seemed thinner and holes appeared when the the old ones never had that problem. Same thing with the Merino tops. But I did like the pants.

Core 4 is great gear...I also have the torrent rain set and this year it shined on rain-soaked Kodiak chasing a Billy..think I paid $100 for the set-preowned...a steal.
