Copper State elk tag

Hi,
New here and didn’t think I would have a need to ask any questions but here I am. My daughter drew one of the two Copper State elk tags. We will be hunting unit 9 and 10 with hunt dates of Dec. 15 to Feb. 15. Any and all advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Already talked to the Big Bo in unit 10 and they will be closed to hunting during that time.
