Cooper or Fierce?

Have owned Cooper and handled Fierce. Based on that limited experience, I’d go Cooper by a wide margin. Mine was a gorgeous gun and a certain one holer. Sold it only because it was too nice to be practical.

For the price of either, however, an APR Maverick is within reach and a much better option. A true custom rifle that you can put your own stamp on. It won’t happen, but if you have problems, Alamo will take care of it guaranteed. I’ve said it before and I will say it again, their Maverick package is the best value in firearms today.

i'm happy with my base model fierce fury. i found a few factory loads that shot 3/4 moa and an accubond factory load that would cloverleaf at 200. it held pretty consistent out to distance but was very sensitive to added weight at the end of the pencil barrel.

i did have a trigger that would grow in pull weight but that was swapped out promptly under warranty. i like that there are no upgrades needed and it shoots well out of the box.

I’ve never seen a Cooper that won’t shoot. They great rifles.

Good input. Did you make the move to “trade up” from the Fury to the Edge or Rival? I’ve actually considered that option.... buy the base model Fury, evaluate, see if it “proves itself” & then go from there.

I have a cooper model 52 wood stock in 25-06, shoots lights out at 100 factory ammo. I have shot it further but do not have a chrony so beyond 300 was tough becasue i didnt know mv.

i also own a fierce fury in .300 wsm. I bought this as my elk gun and had the same issues with factory ammo being inconsistent beyond 300 due to unknown mv. So i had a load made up for this with a known mv and it shoots lights out.

have had no problems with either, so can not speak to customer service.

i find both actions slick as snot, stock triggers are fantastic on both and when measured were right where they are supposed to be with a sharp break and no creep, both rifles fit well into my shoulder, recoil is handled very nicely with both rifles (stock mb helps to make the .300wsm a pleasure to shoot, it really can be shot quite a bit before you start to feel it, no worse than the 25-06 w/o a brake). Weight wise, the cooper feels heavier, but i have never weighed them. Honestly, both rifles are a pleasure to shoot.

i got the cooper first, for mostly box blind deer hunting. I got the fierce for western hinting due to cerakote and synthetic stock, smaller form factor, etc. Both rifles have their purposes and i would not hesitate to buy from either brand again. Both will be pass-me-downs to kids.

I certainly can't speak for others, but my experience with Fierce customer service could not have been more positive. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

same for me. though it was only a sticky trigger, they swapped it out promptly.

Owned a 300wm Cooper a few years ago, at the time it was a stretch financially for me but I saw it as a gateway to a custom, without the custom price. I was extremely disappointed with it. Shot accurately enough, but balance wasn't great, recoil was worse then I've experienced with a 3 pound lighter 300wm, magazine was replaced several times under warranty, feed was only ok and that was after a lot if fiddling around on my part. In the end I was much happier with my Sako A7 which was 1/2 the price.

I ended up selling the Cooper and building a custom. Much happier overall and the cost was only about 25% more.
