I know this has been posted a ton. What is the recommended cooler size for boned out elk? I feel like I read on here once roughly 150 qts???

Thanks and good luck on the current and upcoming seasons!

It depends on the size of the elk, and how much ice you put in with it. I use frozen milk jugs, they take up a lot of space. So I use my 200qt. Two years ago I got 268lbs of meat and several jugs in there. Last year my daughter's bull was bigger, but I didn't weight it......and it fit well with the jugs and even bone in rears.

A boned out Bull will fit in a 150 quart cooler. Typically used dry ice for the long ride home.
