Conundrum!

I used to say the same thing about my .300WM. Then I had a bad shoulder injury and surgery to repair it. I bought a 6.5C thinking I'd use it til my shoulder was 100% healed. My 6.5C has now killed 7 elk and 6 mule deer. My .300WM sits in the truck as my backup rifle.

Same. I have a tack driver of a .300wm. It’s heavy and recoil is pretty heavy. I’ve since gotten a 6.5prc and now have a 6.5cm I’m learning. We shoot large body whitetails. I don’t see me ever breaking the .30cal back out. For what you get in the prc over the creedmoor, I hate to say it, but it’s not worth the cost, recoil, or the extra hundred yards or so.

The 53gr Superformance is a VMax. Your rifle is likely a 1:12 & there are a few bullets in the 60-65 gr size that will work. But from a ballistic coefficient perspective, the 53gr VMAX has a .290 which is better than some others that are heavier, to include the 55 and 60gr VMAX
I did the cleaning rod test. It’s a 1:12.
