Curious if we have good or bad experiences with the Timney and TriggerTech triggers for Tikkas? Are they reliable, or prone to problems in adverse conditions?

Factory is good enough there is no need from those I’ve shot. I put a spring in one and it was too light so went back to factory.
Forms torture testing shows they are exceptionally reliable and not prone to issues of other triggers.

What are you trying to achieve?

I prefer a 2 stage trigger, and Timney makes one. The KRG Midas is good, but it’s $330

I somehow lost my oem trigger during a barrel swap.

Bought a TT Diamond. Sent it back I could probably shoot it very well but about the time I hand it to one of my excited kids...

Ordered the special.

We will see how it goes in the field.

My Remmy TT had a few clicks vs bangs but I guess that's just a Remmy issue.

I really love my TT duty in my 300 SBR.

I have several tikkas running a spring, with no issues. I think everyone will agree it’s probably the best factory trigger on the market. With that being said my last few builds were a 700 footprint and I used a few of the flat Triggertech diamonds. Then just two months ago when I built my 7prc I used a tikka action and bought the new Triggertech. You will not find a better trigger imo. Period. Although tikka has a great trigger out the box it’s 0 comparison, even with a spring. Mine is under 8oz as it won’t register my guage and is safe. Try it. If u aren’t in love with it pm me I’ll buy it. No bs. I’m convinced anyone saying it isn’t needed has put their finger on one.

I get that you like a 2 stage, but I can't imagine buying the best of the budget guns and replacing the trigger! The trigger is one of the big selling points of the Tikka.

I'm happy with the stock spring in my T3x for hunting. I have the screw turned about halfway out. Clean break, no takeup, no overtravel.

My T1x is a target only gun and I put the lighter spring in there and had to screw the screw most of the way in to get it up to something like 2 pounds. I would be thrilled if I bought an aftermarket trigger and it was as nice as the Tikka with the light spring.
