Anyone wear compression socks for backpacking and back country hunting? If so, seeing any benefits compared with to ‘regular’ high quality hunting socks? Any recommendations? Only hunting specific ones I see are from First Lite.
Duluth Trading has some that look interesting…

REI also has some that look to be ok

I use the Duluth Trading ones when I’m working at the farm and what not, but I don’t think I would like them for an all day hunt/hike.
I need some good compression socks though. I really like the alpaca performance though and don’t know if anybody makes those.

I have the duluth compression socks that I wear for work and chores around the house. Last season I tried some lighter dr schools compression socks and used them as liner socks under buffalo wool socks with good results. Buffalo wool company does offer compression socks as well. I have not used them, but have been very happy with all my purchases from them.

I wear compression socks daily.

Jobst sport for daily use w athletic and casual shoes.

Cep makes a hiking compression wool blend that are decent as lightweight hikers but thin if you like a lot of cushion.

Cep makes calf sleeves too. I picked up a few to wear with whatever regular socks I want/need and still get some compression. I use these the least of all my compeession gear.

I have several pair of the buffalo wool co compressions and I wear them for cold weather stand/blind hunting, under my cold weather waders for waterfowl and stream fishing, and occasionally for upland. I wear these the most and have had good results and they hold up to washing etc.

Going to check out the duluth ones next.
