The standard one on the ultrapod. I am not sweeping across the hillside looking for game with this setup, but rather just getting a better look at something I spotted with my binos. Trying to keep this particular as lightweight as possible.

For LW spotters the Zeiss Dialyt has a lot to recommend it. Good optics, decent price (for a Zeiss), reasonable weight and rugged enough for hunting.

If I am going ultralight in country that isn't too big I'll throw in my leupold fixed 25x50mm. Weighs right in at a pound.

The thing about the Dialyt is it shows more chromatic abberation than it should for its price, and it isn't really lightweight (42 ounces compared to a an ATM65HD at 46 ounces). the Dialyt is a compact and very sturdy spotter with a good image though (other than the CA). It feels like you could pound nails with that thing.

Has that deal ended or am I missing something? I just checked the site and it's listed at $630.

Yes it did. I came across it by accident(followed a Ziess 85mm link from BB). For all I know it was put up at the wrong price. I bought it the night I saw it and it was up to $630 the next morning. I wanted one but not really actively pursuing one. $530 was the lowest I had ever seen new and was too good to turn down.
I browse optics quite a bit and if I see another deal on one I'll let you know.
