Anyone have recommendations for a 24"-26" folded length inverted tripod for use while sitting? Really wish RRS made one, but I don't see one listed...

Tricer HK is probably the closest. RRS is missing the boat by not having a similar spec’d “13i” model IMO.

Might look at the Two Vets No Name V2 Inverted.....not sure if it would meet your specs, but it's a 3 lock 4 section tripod. I have the Two Vets Recon V2 Inverted and really like it. GL

RRS says they eventually will come out with one, but timeframe is unknown...it's too bad Aziak doesn't have one made overseas, would really like to see a sitting inverted for glassing...

I'd like something lighter and shorter(when folded) than their 282...

This. All in, with a head on it should be 24ish inches stowed. Sits pretty much flush with the top of your pack, good for sitting glassing or shooting. Wish one of the many Chinese companies would make this as they could use fat legs and only one extension and hit a pretty good weight and price point with good stability.

Yep!!

I'd take a Chinese version or pony up for a RRS...either way seems like someone needs to make one.

If the compact 282 is still too long, you could buy either the long or compact version and cut it down. You'll need a heat gun and a good cutoff wheel, but it's an easy project. It's what I did with my long version 282.

This is what I was going to suggest for the DIY types.

Which ends did you apply heat to?

I think I did the upper part of each leg. This way I avoided having to drill a new hole on the bottom of the upper leg section. And the threaded foot insert didn’t want to budge from the lower leg section.
