Colorado Unit 67. Bears?

So, I drew a unit 67 muzzy tag. Heading over to scout this weekend with the wife. I was wondering if I have to worry about bears in this unit?

Also, I have my areas all picked out but if anyone has any advise on spots to check I would be glad to hear them.

Shouldn't have to worry about bears in any unit in CO if you take proper precautions. Unit I hunt is infested with them, if I don't see a bear or two each day I'm not hunting hard enough.

I spend way too much time in the neighboring unit (68) and have yet to actually see a bear or have them mess with our camps that are up from the end of August thru October (knock on wood). You should be fine especially if you take the the normal precautions.

if you plan to be anywhere near sawtooth mountain I could offer some advice.

You can always get a bear tag. It's OTC for muzzy season.

Had a bear check out my cow calling in 67 last trip. Nice cinnamon bear. I won't be up in there again without a tag. Pretty good bear country actually.
