Colorado Unit 47 Hunter Fryingpan Wilderness.

Thinking about putting in for an early rifle buck tag for this unit. Anyone hunted it during the early seasons? Wondering about buck numbers and size of bucks. I can handle the rough terrain. Just thinking about trying for a different hunt this year. Thanks in advance!

There's some nice bucks and bulls there not sure about pressure I've heard that lately there's been a lot of hunters but you can call the game warden for that unit and find out for sure.

All that country has big deer potential, but you still have to weed through all the backpackers and a fair amount of archery hunters get in there before the early hunt. That unit is set to open on the later high country date which coincides with the muzzleloader opener, so it might get more opening day pressure. I might try that hunt on a landowner archery or muzz tag before I burnt my points.
