Bumping this up. The snow is almost melted enough I can get into some of the areas I want to check out. Any other tips, pointers, good the bad and ugly of previous moose hunters?

I'm in the same boat. Drew a muzzy cow tag in unit 8. Thinking about switching to rifle due to work schedule.

Deer Lakes is the place to go for 66. I've had them run me out of there in June while fishing, and see them every time I hike up for elk hunting out of the campground during rifle season.
